a creepy ass place. So there's a few stories. The one heard the most is this one: http://okinawahai.com/haunted-hotel/ there's great pics and insight in that link too. But when ever I show a pic of the structure to locals they call it "Old Chinatown". Pretty much no stories told by the Americans speak of any Chineseness. But one Okinawan has told me a much different story. One that involves... Chinese people! And this version I cannot find online. But pretty much, some Chinese gang had something to due with the construction of this resort and there were some troubles iether within the gang or with another Chinese gang, but pretty much there were people's family's staying in the unfinished structure, then a lot of killing. The other stories all bring up something about sacred grounds and I know that's a big deal in this area of Japan, especially considering the islands violent and tragic history. They bring up something about a curse that drives people insane. And that sort of thing has happened elsewhere on the island, such as at one of the housing units on an American base where the head of the house would lose it and kill his family, and for the event to repeat itself to the next family to move in.
Also all versions talk about how work would be attempted on the sight but tragic accidents would occur as well as people going insane.
So you may notice that these are just exterior shots. No, I am not going in! But people have and if you go on Youtube and look up "Okinawa haunted hotel" or "abandoned hotel" you can find footage by people that have entered the structure. Me, I have a history with the ghosty stuff, so I won't go.
